Art

At Epping Upland Primary School we understand that Art and Design engages and inspires children. Through creative planning, our pupils are given opportunities, practical experiences and critical reflection. We explore Art and Design through a variety of mediums such as paint, sculpture, drawing collage and printing. There is also a focus on on key artists from around the world. Pupils are then able to take inspiration and create their own works in a similar style. Artwork is displayed and valued in the classroom and the whole school. 

The National Curriculum for Art & Design aims to ensure that all pupils:

• produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences;
• become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques;
• evaluate creative works and know about great artists and designers.
