  My professional background is rooted in Primary Education having had a 41 year career as a
  Primary teacher at various levels of responsibility, from main scale teacher to Acting Head.
  Alongside this I have been involved in school governance for over 25 years at different
  schools, most recently at Lambourne as Chair.
  Following retirement from full time teaching, I was encouraged to become a Trustee for
  EFSPT as a way of continuing my commitment to excellence in Primary Education through a
  wider strategic role. I feel I bring a breadth of knowledge and experience to enable Epping
  Upland to develop a strong and proactive LGC team that can support and challenge the
  leadership of the school effectively.

  Having served as a dedicated staff member for over twenty years, my commitment to Epping Upland runs deep both professionally and personally, as both of my own children spent their formative primary years here from ages 4 to 11. I am eager to step into the primary school staff governor role to give back to a fantastic school community where passionate educators consistently put children at the heart of every decision. Drawing on my long-standing institutional knowledge and daily classroom experience, I want to represent my colleagues' voices, support our leadership, and help guide the strategic future of the school to ensure future generations of pupils continue to thrive in the nurturing environment our staff works so hard to maintain.

  John moved to the Epping area in 2024 to serve as Team Rector for the Epping District group of parishes which includes All Saints Epping Upland and has recently joined the Local Governing Committee. Alongside other members of the clergy team, he has enjoyed getting to know the school and visits to lead Collective Worship from time to time. Prior to this he had been Vicar of the Theydon Parishes for 8 years, and during that time was a member of the LGC for Theydon Bois Primary School. He is also a Bishops' Advisor for Ordained Ministry and Area Dean of Epping Forest and Ongar. When not in one of the churches, he can often found amongst Lego, or baking!

  I am Elisabeth Nunn a Trust Governor at Epping Upland Primary School. I was delighted to
  be invited to join the school's Local Governing Committee, bringing with me more than 25
  years of experience in education and governance.
  I am passionate about education having taught literacy at a secondary school for 20 years.
  As the former Head of Governance at the Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust, I worked
  with the Trust Board to set up robust governance processes to ensure all children flourish
  within the Trust's schools. In my semi-retirement, I work as the Governance Professional to
  the Board of Trustees.

  Being a former pupil of Epping Upland and now having my own children attend, I feel personally invested in the school. I would like to have a positive impact on the children’s education as well as ensuring they feel safe and supported to fulfil their potential.
  I bring with me experience in project management along with a keen eye for detail and commercial awareness to assist the school in the future to elevate the students experience and performance.

  I wanted to be a Parent Governor because I would really like to play a more active role in supporting the school and its community. I currently have one child at the school, with my second joining next year, so I have a genuine personal interest in helping the school continue to be a great place for our children.

  In my day job as a Regional Manager for Waitrose, I lead teams across a number of locations, with a strong focus on developing people, maintaining high standards and holding teams and leaders to account. I am used to listening, challenging constructively, making decisions and working with people to achieve the best outcomes.

  I know I will love the opportunity to bring that experience to the school, while also representing the views and interests of parents. Most importantly, I want to contribute positively and help ensure the school continues to give every child the best possible start.
